DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce that the CARB Dynamometer Testing Event and Year 3 Winter Workshop will be held March 3-14\, 2025 in Riverside\, CA! \nDynamometer Testing Event – Hosted by California Air Resource Board (CARB) \nDates: Wave 1: March 3-7\, 2025 | Wave 2: March 10-14\, 2025 \nAs a hallmark event of Year 3\, teams will partake in dynamometer testing to baseline their newly developed and integrated propulsion systems and their adaptive cruise control algorithms. In particular\, this testing will assess the energy consumption of each team’s LYRIQ by running abbreviated EPA test cycles for EV range assessment. \nWinter Workshop & K-12 STEM Event – Hosted by UC Riverside School of Business \nDates: March 7-9\, 2025 | Community Event: March 10\, 2025 \nThe Year 3 Winter Workshop will feature multi-team collaborative review sessions with subject matter experts\, technical design reviews of vehicle development progress\, and industry-style board meetings where Project Managers will discuss their project status. \nEcoCAR students will partner with CARB to host a K-12 STEM outreach event on Monday\, March 10. This event will engage local Riverside students in fun and exciting activities related to mobility technologies while providing opportunities for members in the community to learn about the EcoCAR program and other transportation technologies.

The primary focus of this event is to accurately measure and benchmark the vehicle’s energy consumption. \nSponsor Day and the Innovation Showcase will be held on February 3\, 2026\, in conjunction with the EcoCAR Dyno Testing event. Sponsor Day will feature multiple opportunities to engage with EcoCAR teams\, connect with government and industry partners\, and experience CARB’s state-of-the-art facility. The Innovation Showcase will be similar to our traditional EcoCAR Sponsor Socials\, but with a new focus: highlighting research\, emerging technologies\, and innovations from sponsors\, government partners\, and universities.
