Year Three

About

The EcoCAR Year 3 Competition will be held May 18-20 via the online fully-integrated conference platform, 6Connex. This visual and interactive platform will connect students and sponsors from across North America like never before.

At the competition, teams will present to industry and government judges in six different categories and will have the chance to participate in several sponsored awards.
Teams will have the opportunity to attend a Welcome Night filled with AVTC trivia, network with fellow EcoCAR teams, and attend the Sponsor Social Networking and Recruitment event to meet with future employers.

The competition will kick off with an opening plenary featuring keynote remarks from Michael Berube, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Sustainable Transportation, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, U.S. Department of Energy and Kristen Siemen Vice President – Chief Sustainability Officer, General Motors. During the plenary, 10 pre-competition deliverable awards will be given out to teams. In addition, the top 6 leading into competition will be announced.

The Year Three Awards Ceremony will take place on YouTube Live on June 8 from 7-8:30 PM ET. Winners in more than 40 judged categories and the overall first place team will be announced, and more than $100K in awards will be given out during the ceremony.

All teams and sponsors will need to register for the event on 6Connex by May 15. If you have not received a registration invitation, please contact Jacque LeBreck at jlebreck@anl.gov
