Cal State LA & Cerritos College

We are the Cal State LA – Cerritos College Charging Eagles BWC Y3 Competition team. We are made up of more than 25 active members that include junior college, undergraduate students, graduate students and Faculty mentors. Cal State LA is located north-east of Downtown Los Angeles at 5151 State University Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90032, and Cerritos College is located south-east of Downtown Los Angeles at 11110 Alondra Blvd, Norwalk, CA 90650.

Our team exists to advance the electrification of transportation by developing a safe, efficient, and fully integrated EV battery pack for the Ram ProMaster. We aim to apply cutting-edge design, testing, and validation methods to deliver a competitive solution that demonstrates technical excellence, teamwork, and industry readiness.

Goal 1: Safety! Safety! Safety! We aim to seamlessly follow all OSHA and IEEE HV safety standards, minimize risk exposure for all team and sub-team deliverables, and provide continuously updated safety protocols for working with EV battery packs.

Goal 2: Communication, both internal and external. No message should spend more than 1-2 business days sitting in the queue. Our team culture is agile and responsive, and that is key to our ability to get things done.

Goal 3: Documentation is crucial to our success. We take care to log events and processes to build a connected internal knowledge base to support our program growth and talent pipeline.
