Year Two is officially underway! During the second year of EcoCAR 3 teams will begin to integrate their hybrid electric architectures into their 2016 Chevrolet Camaro!
From September 29 – October 3, 2015 teams will gather in Natick, MA for the Year Two Fall Workshop, hosted by MathWorks, to kick off the year of integration. Throughout the five-day workshop, teams will learn about Year Two competition rules, upcoming deliverables, and EcoCAR events for the coming year. The teams will also have the opportunity to receive valuable and extensive training in donated software and components from competition-level sponsors, including: U.S. Department of Energy, General Motors, Argonne National Laboratory, MathWorks, dSPACE, Freescale, AVL Powertrain, Siemens, GKN Driveline, Ricardo, Tesa Tape, Champlain, Mentor Graphics, Weber Shandwick, and more.
In addition to the technical training and sessions, Communications Managers and Project Managers will each have a dedicated track in which they will learn about the communications and project management deliverables for the year. The Communications Managers will also be participating in media relations & video production training while the Project Managers will focus on building leadership skills and quality management.
Over the course of the workshop, teams will also have the opportunity to attend a Sponsor Social Networking and Recruiting event and an experience an exciting night out in Boston at Cheers, Faneuil Hall Marketplace.
