Last night, the EcoCAR Mobility Challenge Faculty Advisors were invited to the Year One Faculty Dinner, sponsored by EcoCAR Visionary Sponsor NXP, at the Ritz Carlton in Atlanta, GA.
The Faculty Dinner is a special time for the organizers and sponsors to recognize the EcoCAR faculty advisors who have dedicated countless hours mentoring and leading their EcoCAR students throughout the program. The Year One Faculty Advisory Board (FAB) was also recognized during the night. The FAB is a selection of the faculty who provide academic feedback on EcoCAR yearly goals and objectives, competition rules and events, workshops and training, and team deliverables.
In addition, long time FAB member Doug Nelson from Virginia Tech was recognized for 25 years of service on as an AVTC Faculty Member. Past Virginia Tech students who served under Nelson shared their favorite memories, Nelson’s impact on their education, as well as current career.
