Scott Blackwelder is a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina State University, and the NC State EcoCAR 2 team leader. Scott, or Scotty, as the team likes to refer to him, is a monster at fabrication and mechanical integration for NC State’s General Motors-donated 2013 Chevy Malibu. With the competition in just a few short weeks, Scotty plans to “bring home the team” at the Year Three Competition.
