This year, the Purdue University EcoCAR 2 team decided to collaborate with Siemens PLM Software to highlight the software programs that they have donated for the EcoCAR 2 competition.
Siemens donated NX software, which has allowed the team’s engineers to build their plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) in the CAD system. The team can then have vehicle components designed and created using the CAD system.
In the video below, we hear from Bill Boswell, a Siemens representative who explains the EcoCAR 2 competition and why Siemens enjoys sponsoring student competitions, as well as Kevin Oswald, a Purdue engineering student who works with the NX software.
