Legacy EV joins as BattChallenge sponsor, provides hands-on high-voltage safety training

Legacy EV, an industry-leading EV education and hands-on training company, has joined the Battery Workforce Challenge as a supporter sponsor.

Legacy EV is set to provide BattChallengers levels one and two high-voltage safety training — hands-on training introducing students to the tools, teamwork and safety principles essential for working with high voltage EV systems.

“We’re thrilled to have Legacy EV on board,” said Ajay Gnanasekaran, BattChallenge director. “The training they’re providing ensures BattChallengers build both technical skill and professional habits for safe, accurate and collaborative work in high voltage environments.”

BattChallengers can expect to verify electrical integrity. They’ll step into industry-style roles to assemble a battery pack under industry protocols. Students will also assess shock hazards while classifying PPE requirements.

“At Legacy EV, we’re all about real-world, hands-on training, so we’re stoked to support the Battery Workforce Challenge,” said Mavrick Knoles, Legacy EV’s cofounder and president. “The future of the EV industry is being built by students who are actually doing the work, not just talking about it.”
