EcoCAR teams scoured the EPCOT World Showcase to visit all of the countries that have Bosch locations- which was all of them! The Bosch Group is a leading global supplier of technology and services. The company employs approximately 420,000 associates worldwide, in which 44,000 are software developers. Bosch’s operations are divided into four business sectors: Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. The Bosch Group comprises Robert Bosch GmbH and its roughly 440 subsidiaries and regional companies in 60 countries, and our teams were thrilled to “visit” 11 of these countries represented in the World Showcase.

During the Welcome Night event, teams had the opportunity to explore what each country in the EPCOT World Showcase and showcase how their own teams work #LikeABosch.

“What a great way to kick off the week with EcoCAR EV Challenge than to spend it with all the teams showing us how they Work #LikeABosch Around the World,” said Lisa Tipton, HR Specialist – Talent Attraction, Bosch. “Congrats to all the teams that worked so hard in Year 1 of the challenge. We are excited to see what your teams have in store for the next 3 years.”

The evening concluded with an opening night Awards Ceremony recognizing the winners of the #LikeABosch sponsored award and pre-competition deliverables. McMaster University claimed the first place $1,000 price for the #LikeABosch award, followed by the Ohio State University and Wilberforce University team who came in second, earing $500 for their team.
