Dillon Hurley is a native of Tucson, Arizona. He grew up loving cars, especially Chevrolet Camaros. His first car was a 1984 Camaro!
Hurley is going into his senior year at Arizona State University, pursuing a degree in manufacturing technology and management. He is very excited that the EcoCAR 3 competition allows him to pursue both of his passions, alternative fuels and high-performance vehicles.
“As a team, we have accomplished many things, but outstandingly the architecture selection and modeling has been the most rewarding,” said Hurley.
Hurley is always in a positive mood and has one of the best attitudes on the team. Through the long nights and hard work, he is someone a team member can reach out to for both engineering advice and moral support. Prior to joining EcoCAR 3, he designed parts and racking systems for Schletter, a custom solar mounting engineering and manufacturing company.
