PACCAR, a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of premium light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, is a proud sponsor of the EcoCAR Mobility Challenge and Advanced Vehicle Technology Competitions (AVTCs). Since the beginning their sponsorship during the Challenge X series, PACCAR has hired numerous AVTC students who are now located all across the US at their various PACCAR divisions from Seattle, Texas, to Mississippi.
Under the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF nameplates, PACCAR designs and manufactures advanced diesel engines, provides financial services, information technology, and distributes truck parts related to its principal business. Through judging, training, mentoring and recruiting, PACCAR’s sponsorship of the EcoCAR Mobility Challenge helps provide the training ground for the next-generation workforce. The students that come from this program have been proven to be highly capable and significantly a higher level of ability to integrate quickly into product engineering with strong skills in system engineering, requirements management, simulation, and vehicle and system validation.
Currently, PACCAR is developing battery electric vehicle programs, connected truck programs, Level 4 autonomous vehicles and many more major programs launching in the next few years.
