Each year, SAE Congress becomes a meeting place for those in the automotive industry, and an EcoCAR 3 exhibit there last week brought together many of those in the AVTC community as well.
The EcoCAR 3 Camaro was displayed at the conference at the Cobo Center from April 21-23 in downtown Detroit, MI. EcoCAR organizers talked to industry and conference attendees about the competition and what changes students might make to the vehicle. With EcoCAR 3 students being in the home stretch of the first year of the competition, many were interested in what architectures the students have chosen for their vehicles.
Many AVTC alumni and current students stopped by the booth to connect with organizers and AVTC students and alumni. Several alumni stayed to talk to the public about their experiences in AVTC, and how they used those experiences to assist them in their careers in the auto industry.
