EcoCAR 3 teams, organizers, and sponsors have gathered at NXP Semiconductors in Austin, Texas for the Year 3 Winter Workshop. The workshop kicked off this morning, beginning with a warm welcome from NXP President and CEO Rick Clemmer, NXP Senior Vice President and General Manager of Automotive Microcontrollers and Microprocessors Bob Conrad, and dSPACE Inc. President Peter Waeltermann.
Co-sponsored by NXP and dSPACE, the four-day workshop will provide students with details for the upcoming Year 3 Competition, as well as next year’s Year 4 Over the Road Event. The workshop will offer sessions led by project management and engineering professionals. Students will participate in significant hands-on ADAS training by MathWorks and NXP, Vehicle and Component Test Development training from Bosch, as well as Vehicle Systems Communication and Operation training with GM, and much more!
Students will also have the opportunity to receive a window tour of the first 200mm silicon wafer production facility at NXP. In addition, the Internet of Things (IoT) truck will be visiting NXP during the week. The NXP’s Smarter World Tour brings the Internet of Things to life, with over 180 demos including various ADAS demonstrations.
