We are pleased to announce that after more than 18 months of doing EcoCAR virtually, we are planning to be back in person this Fall for the Workshop and Vehicle Event (WAVE). From October 11-16, EcoCAR teams will join competition organizers and sponsors in Southeast Michigan for a week of vehicle inspections, vehicle testing, and traditional EcoCAR workshop-style training.
The Fall WAVE will kick off at the General Motors Milford Proving Ground where each team vehicle will be inspected by a robust group of competition inspectors. When vehicles pass inspection, teams will have the opportunity to test their vehicles at the world-class Proving Ground. Teams will have access to a straight-line track, a dynamics pad and an oval/circle track for continuous driving. Teams would have the opportunity to take part in vehicle testing events such as acceleration, braking, driveability, thermal systems, or longitudinal control systems (ACC).
After 4 days at the Milford Proving Ground, the event will transition to a 2-day training workshop that will focus on high-impact, high-value training topics in an interactive format.
In addition, students will have the opportunity to network with sponsors during a traditional EcoCAR Sponsor Social and recruiting event to meet with future employers.
