Ajay Gnanasekaran is director of the Battery Workforce Challenge, a three-year engineering competition that challenges North American universities and their community college partners to design, build, test and integrate an advanced EV battery pack into a ’24 Ram ProMaster EV.
But Gnanasekaran’s history with the Advanced Vehicle Technology Competitions, or AVTCs, all started when he was a project manager for the Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University team in EcoCAR 2 and 3.
