EcoCAR Mobility Challenge Year 1 Finals Begins in Atlanta, Georgia

Welcome to the EcoCAR Mobility Challenge Year One Competition!

12 North American university teams have been challenged to apply advanced propulsion systems, and connected and automated vehicle technology to improve the energy efficiency, safety and consumer appeal of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer, specifically for the carsharing market, as part of the Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition (AVTC) series.

After the first year of this four-year competition, teams have traveled from across the country to present their hard work to industry judges at the Year One Competition in Atlanta, Georgia. The competition kicked off with an Opening Ceremony at Georgia Tech which included a warm welcome from Georgia Tech Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Larry Jacobs, and representatives from the U.S. Department of Energy, General Motors, and Argonne National Laboratory. Teams also received a tour of the Georgia Tech Campus from the local Georgia Tech EcoCAR team members.
