Sparking Connections: UW EcoCAR 3 Visits the Electrical Engineering Fair

The University of Washington team recently participated in the UW Electrical Engineering Career Fair. This event, held in the Husky Union Building, allowed team members to talk to hundreds of undergraduate and graduate electrical engineering students looking for opportunities. This event served not only as a recruiting opportunity for the team, but also as exposure to electrical engineering faculty and to other companies and groups represented at the career fair.

The UW team has grown significantly this year, with the number of team members sitting at roughly 90. This expansion means not only greater exposure to the varying talents and expertise of a larger group of students, but also a great deal more awareness of the team around campus and the UW community. The Electrical Engineering Career Fair helped publicize the team to potential future members, faculty, and attending companies that could act as future sponsors.

One of the major goals of the UW EcoCAR 3 communications team is to raise the profile of EcoCAR on campus. Events like these help attract the best students to EcoCAR and continue to build the foundation for the future of EcoCAR at UW.
